  Calico Cloggers

The Calico Cloggers is a new clogging group, based in Fairfax, VA,
consisting of experienced current and former members from 4 other clogging
groups in Northern Virginia.  The group was formed to help maintain
traditional Appalachian style clogging and to provide a variety of other
percussive styles including modern clogging, Irish and Canadian step
dancing, and tap dancing combined with swing dancing.   Clogging has celtic
roots, which Calico demonstrates in some of their dances, including an Irish
set dance with battering steps from old style Irish step dancing.
