The 2010 annual CCE IRISH FOLK FESTIVAL
The 2010 annual CCE IRISH FOLK FESTIVAL, sponsored by the CCE O’Neill Malcom Branch with support from the Fairfax City Commission on the Arts, will take place on Saturday, September 25th in historic downtown Fairfax City from noon to 6pm.

There will be live traditional Irish music and dance on the Auld Shebeen pub stage and downstairs cellar, an outside Showmobile, and The Space in the Old Town Fairfax Plaza (North Street, between Chain Bridge Road & University Blvd). There will be live music in several other small venues in the Fairfax downtown area; a session area; and a children’s program as well as crafts and a photography exhibit. Rain or shine.
Mike Rafferty, Galway flutist and a 2010 recipient of the National Heritage Award, will be appearing at the festival with his daughter Mary Rafferty (formerly of Cherish the Ladies) on accordion and the great Willy Kelly on fiddle.
